23 young people entered the Legion of Christ Novitiate in Monterrey, Nuevo León. During the ceremony, the trainers of this year’s candidate group, the novitiate trainers, who collaborate in vocational promotion and other novices, attended.
The young people come from various parts of Mexico, received the cassock, the habit which is above all a sign of exclusive dedication to the Lord, and which will accompany them during the novitiate stage to discern, deepen, and mature their vocation.
During their stay at the novitiate, for the next two years, they will begin their formation in the specific virtues of religious life in the Church, mainly expressed in the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity, and obedience; and in the common fraternal life, so that these become the seed that transforms them into an internal attitude.
They will also seek to assimilate affectively and effectively the spirit and discipline of the congregation, primarily through the study of the Congregation’s Constitutions.
Upon receiving their cassock, and as is customary, the 23 young people placed this new path they are starting in their lives into the hands of the Virgin.
