«We must keep our ears open to hear how God wants us to serve His people» – Diaconal and priestly ordinations in Guadalajara, Jalisco

Ordenaciones diaconales y sacerdotales en Guadalajara, Jalisco

On September 11, at the expiatory temple of the Most Holy Sacrament in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Fathers Daniel Ochoa, LC and Aarón Robles, LC were ordained deacons, and Fathers Francisco Xavier Gutiérrez, LC, Emmanuel Castañeda, LC, and Felipe de Jesús Quezada, LC received the priestly ordination.

The call of God is for a lifetime. The first call is to life, then comes the call to holiness that is born from baptism, and then comes the particular call which, in this case, God has called them to the priesthood.

Mons. Héctor López, auxiliary bishop of Guadalajara, invited each one to always be open to the mission to which God calls them, to preach the Word and the mercy of the Lord; to stay united in prayer, to their superiors, to the diocesan bishop. He also encouraged them to put all their effort into living the holiness of their vocation, as “the maximum response they can give to God.”
