Encounter Magdala 2025. “Duc In Altum: Rowing Towards Hope”

Published on 21 February, 2025
Legionaries, News, Spain

Magdala invites the faithful and pilgrims to participate in the Encounter Magdala 2025, a spiritual and formative event to be held in Madrid from July 22 to 26, 2025. Under the motto “Duc In Altum: Rowing Towards Hope”, this gathering aims to deepen faith and prepare participants for the celebration of the year 2033, the anniversary of Christ’s Passion, Death, and Resurrection.

The Encounter Magdala 2025 is structured around four pillars: Sings, Walks, Celebrates, and Shares. Attendees will enjoy concerts with renowned artists, spiritual tours through significant sites, daily celebrations of Holy Mass, moments of adoration, as well as talks and conferences that will delve into Jesus’ message and the spiritual experience of the Holy Land. Among the confirmed speakers are:

• P. Juan Solana, LC: Mexican priest, known for leading the Magdala project in the Holy Land, where a 1st-century synagogue linked to Jesus was discovered.

• Carlota Valenzuela: Spanish pilgrim who traveled 6,000 km from Finisterre to Jerusalem, guided by her faith and trust in God.

• P. Ignacio Amorós: Spanish priest who left his career in finance to evangelize youth through initiatives like “Rebels Wanted”.

• Jennifer Ristine: Consecrated, author, and speaker specializing in Mary Magdalene, with experience in Magdala and studies on her historical and spiritual figure.

Registrations will open on February 6, 2025, and participation from pilgrims worldwide is expected.
