Oh Jesus, King and Lord of the Church: I renew before your presence my unconditional adherence to your Vicar on earth, the Pope. In him you have chosen to show us the sure and certain path we must follow amid disorientation, unrest, and unease. I firmly believe that through him you govern, teach, and sanctify us, and under his guidance we form the true Church: one, holy, catholic, and apostolic. Grant me the grace to love, live, and propagate his teachings as a faithful son. Care for his life, illuminate his intelligence, strengthen his spirit, defend him from slander and evil. Calm the erosive winds of infidelity and disobedience, and grant that, around him, your Church remains united, firm in faith and action, and thus becomes the instrument of your redemption. So be it.
