The Cumbres School Valencia held a very important week for the entire educational community: the Week of Prayer for Vocations. On the first day of the week, as has been customary for years, the entire school paid tribute to the priests working in parishes: it is Parish Priest Day.
They also had special visits: the Novices of the Legion of Christ came from Salamanca – some are alumni of Cumbres School –, and also present were the consecrated Marilú Alvarez and María Hemm. All of them shared their vocational stories with the students of the school.
There were no shortages of moments of prayer before the Eucharist, in which students were encouraged to ask the Lord of the harvest to send workers to labor in His harvest.
The vocations week concluded with the celebration of Christ the King, a feast of the Regnum Christi family, which in Valencia was celebrated at the same Cumbres school.
A well-deserved recognition for the parish priests
The students of the school had brought letters to their parish priests weeks earlier. It was an invitation from the school to enjoy some time on this day with the educational community of the school where these boys and girls from their parish are formed.
Ten priests attended the event. Also, days before, the students wrote letters to their parish priests thanking them for their dedication and commitment.
The meeting with the parish priests began with the recitation of the Hour of None in the chapel, led by Father Mario López, LC., the school director.
