After years of a renewal process led by the Church and the implementation of the Statutes of the Regnum Christi Federation, the Consecrated and the Laity of the Regnum Christi begin their respective Chapters and General Assemblies on January 20. This is the first time that the supreme bodies of the consecrated vocations of Regnum Christi meet after the Federation of Regnum Christi, constituted by them, has been approved.
Delegates and capitulars prepare for their respective Assemblies first with spiritual exercises. Ahead, nearly a month during which they will have to confront and discern the topics that have been reflected upon in communities and territories for months, as well as any other issues that may be brought to the table.
New Governments
Furthermore, each of the three branches will elect a new Government, as the terms of the current Governments are now concluding, which will directly impact the governance of the entire Regnum Christi, since the General Governing College of the Federation is composed of the general directors of the three consecrated branches, assisted by two laypeople (who were appointed last September for a six-year term).
By the inherent right of each of the three consecrated branches, these meetings are organized regularly every six years. This time, the meetings begin on Monday, January 20, and it is scheduled that both the Legionaries and the Consecrated will conclude their respective meetings on February 27. The Laity of the Regnum Christi, for their part, start on January 29 and plan to finish on February 15.
