Today the new version of the Regnum Christi website in Spanish goes online. The new site features a more modern design than the previous version, integrating it with the reality of users who, for the most part, access the internet through mobile devices. Additionally, it aims to highlight the identity and mission of Regnum Christi by visually presenting the various realities present in our charismatic family.
The site offers information about the Regnum Christi Movement and seeks to provide easy access to learn about the apostolic works. A map is being developed showing the locations where Regnum Christi is present. Some online resources for formation have already been made available. “The daily meditation service currently has 51,000 subscribers; some are from Regnum Christi, but the vast majority are people who are not part of the Movement and benefit from this resource,” comments Juan Carlos Arceo, content editor of the site.

On the homepage, you can also access the latest news and a series of resources, such as blogs, spiritual life resources, the monthly retreat, prayers, document downloads, videos, podcasts, and our institutional presence on social media.
“In the coming months, the communication offices of the territories will diversify the site so that each Spanish-speaking country can highlight its own news. For now, we continue with an international site, but we want to give more prominence to the territories as requested by the General Chapter and the General Assemblies of the consecrated members,” comments Fr. Benjamín Clariond, director of the Regnum Christi international communication office. He adds: “It will be a slow process to refine what we offer, as we are sure there will be things to improve. The most effective way will be to receive feedback through the ‘contact’ button.”
With this redesign of the Regnum Christi website, we reach its fourth version. The last one was from 2005. Juan Carlos Arceo shares: “Adjustments were planned for 2010, but the institutional crisis forced us to delay the project. To some extent, we can also see this as a providential element, as the rapid development of technology has allowed us to better utilize resources, reduce costs, and better respond to the needs of Regnum Christi members and those seeking information about us.”

Earlier this year, the new English version of the Regnum Christi site was launched, which can be seen here. It is expected that, based on the experience gained during this school year, it will be possible to offer other territories the opportunity to renew their site versions in their own languages.
“There are sections still under construction that will be completed in the coming weeks. We hope to finish the year with the site functionalities working and to advance in the development of other territories. Afterwards, the same will be done in other languages. The English site, however, was the pioneer and was launched in April,” comments Víctor Cavazos, one of the site programmers.
The website for the 2015 priestly ordinations has also been launched, where the vocational stories of most of the deacons who will receive the gift of the priesthood on December 12 in Rome can be read. The site will broadcast live the ordination ceremony, which will begin on December 12 at 10:00 AM Rome time (7:00 AM in Brazil, 4:00 AM in Colombia and Eastern US Time, 3:00 AM in Mexico and Central US Time).
