Legionaries of Christ and consecrated members of the Regnum Christi participated in the Consecrated Life Assembly of the Archdiocese of Monterrey, which was held at the Mexican school of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word.
This assembly is held annually and is attended by community superiors of the Legion of Christ and those responsible for the various apostolates. The goal is to analyze how collaboration with the archdiocese’s pastoral plan is progressing.
The Archbishop of Monterrey, Mons. Rogelio Cabrera, also attended the assembly, encouraging everyone to live their own charism for the good of the entire Church.
During the homily, he commented: “In our pastoral plan for this year, we have set as a task to approach each person and each family. This is not possible if one does not want to go out of oneself, and does not make the spiritual exodus from selfishness to charity. How important it is to live this spirituality of the exodus, of the journey, of listening to the Word of God, of the invitation to the covenant and to charity.”
At the end of the Eucharistic celebration, Mons. Rogelio challenged all those present to undertake an “Inter-congregational Mission,” in order to make known in some surrounding areas of the archdiocese the various forms of consecrated life. An initiative that the consecrated members of Regnum Christi will work on together with other religious congregations.
