On Thursday, January 3rd, Fr. Sergio Salcido, L.C. presented the new vocational page “I Am a Legionary of Christ” to the legionaries of the Mexico and Central America territory in the auditorium of the rectory at Universidad Anáhuac México, North Campus.
This website aims to be a valuable tool to showcase the beauty of the legionary vocation and offer young people in vocational discernment various resources such as videos, images, vocational meditations, blog articles, questions about vocation, interviews on the apostolic mission of the legionary, among other elements.
The new page was coordinated by Fr. Sergio Salcido, L.C. and supported by the Institutional Communication Office of Regnum Christi for the territories of Monterrey, Mexico, and Central America. Additionally, the site gathers all vocational realities of both territories in one place: candidacy, novitiate, vocational centers, and the student center. The site is linked with other institutional communication portals such as SomosRC, En Movimiento (Monterrey), the official pages of the Legion of Christ and Regnum Christi, as well as the International College in Rome, in order to create a synergy in vocational promotion.
Within the page, there is also the possibility to donate, as it is connected to the ProBeca page, and each person has the option to choose a specific Vocational Center or the Novitiate.
It is a website that aims to be a reference and source of vocational articles for other important Catholic pages such as Catholic.net, Encuentra.com, Churchforum, and Catholics in Action, among others. Materials are also produced for vocational weeks in the schools of the Semper Altius and Mano Amiga School Network, not forgetting the vocational promoters for both adults and minors.
A YouTube channel has been created where testimonial capsules from various legionaries can be viewed. The channel can be seen here.
Currently, Fr. Sergio Salcido, L.C. is assisted by a team of legionaries in maintaining the website and producing material. Also participating are the Cheshire humanist brothers in writing articles for the blog, as well as support from other legionaries active on social media such as Frs. Guillermo Serra, Jorge Mújica, Javier López, and Antonio Rivero, LLCC.
