The P. Alberto Carrara, L.C., was born on December 7, 1980, in Padua, Italy. He is a biological chemical laboratory technician and holds a Ph.D. in Medical Biotechnology from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Padua, Italy. He entered the novitiate of the Legion of Christ on December 12, 2004. He took his perpetual vows on October 4, 2012. He is a Professor of Philosophical Anthropology and Neuroethics at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum and the European University of Rome. He coordinates the Neurobioethics Research Group and in 2017 was appointed by Pope Francis as a Member of the Pontifical Academy for Life. He is currently the vice superior of the community of professorial apostolate.
