The Fr. Antonio León Santacruz, L.C., originally from Mexico City, was born on November 29, 1955. In 1974, he entered the Salamanca novitiate center to begin his legionary formation as a novice and humanist. He made his perpetual profession on April 29, 1982, at the headquarters of the General Directorate. Once his ecclesiastical studies were completed, he was ordained a priest on December 24, 1985, at the Parish of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Rome. From 1986 to 2012, he carried out his priestly ministry as a novice instructor at the training centers in Salamanca and Monterrey. From 2012 to 2015, he collaborated as section director for ladies, assistant to the gentlemen’s section, and chaplain of the Alpes Institute in Aguascalientes. He also collaborated in various apostolic works in the city of Zacatecas. In 2015, he was transferred to Rome for one year as a spiritual director for theologians. He is currently a member of the apostolate community in Solares, where he carries out his mission as an assistant in the ladies’ section of northern Guadalajara and as chaplain of the Domus Mariae in La Rioja. He is also studying a Master’s in Family Sciences.
