The Father David Abad, L.C., was born on January 5, 1973, in Villanueva de Sigena (Huesca), Spain. He entered the Novitiate of the Legion of Christ on September 14, 1993. He took his perpetual vows on October 5, 2001. He was ordained a priest on November 25, 2004. He holds a licentiate in dogmatic theology from the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, and a licentiate in Christian and Classical Literature from the Salesian University of Rome. From 1999 to 2013, he collaborated as an assistant to the General Secretariat.
Since 2013, he has been the spiritual director of the theologate at the Legionaries of Christ International College in Rome, in addition to being a professor of Biblical Greek at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum. He was part of the drafting commission of the Ratio Institutionis of the Legion of Christ.
