Broken Heart: Paths of Inner Healing

Corazón quebrantado: Caminos de sanación interior

César Pérez, LC, writes “Broken Heart,” a spirituality book that presents meditations based on the healing events performed by Christ in the Gospel, with questions for personal reflection.

This book aims to be an invitation to develop a profound experience of faith that, by embracing one’s own concrete history and discovering God’s presence within it, helps to marvel once again at His love.

Do you feel that your relationship with God has stagnated? Have you lost your way in your inner life? Do you experience a thirst for God and at the same time a great inability to be touched by Him? “Broken Heart” is a spirituality book that presents brief meditations based on the healing events performed by Christ in the Gospel, including reflections and questions for self-examination. If you feel that your heart has been broken, I would like the inner experience that these meditations generated in me to also help you discover God’s presence in this moment of your life and the great plans He has for you.

«If you feel that your heart has been broken, I would like the inner experience that these meditations generated in me to also help you discover God’s presence in this moment of your life. There you have Christ close to you, always present, do not doubt it. He comes to you tenderly with His grace, the sacraments, and the Church at your service. And there you go, like many men of the Gospel, in your suffering, but following an inner invitation. Something is gently permeating your soul… you hear His voice telling you something new. You turn to Him again in prayer, in His word, in His sacraments, in spiritual direction… you walk… one step after another. And slowly you see your hands, you begin to feel members you didn’t remember having, peace begins to expand within you. Your love for Him has grown! Your story gains meaning! Your heart has healed! Your sight is transformed!» (Excerpt from the book “Broken Heart”).

The book can be purchased at this link.
