The Magdala Center invites you to its IV Virtual Pilgrimage: Pilgrimage of Grace – “Walking through the Holy Land hand in hand with the Church”; dedicated especially to catechesis and deepening of the Church’s sacraments. This pilgrimage will be held virtually from February 28 to April 21, completely free, and will be led by Father Juan María Solana, LC, director and founder of the Magdala Project.
Registration can be done here.
The sacraments are the visible signs of invisible grace; they are also actions of the Holy Spirit acting in the members of the Church for their sanctification and union with Christ. There are seven sacraments of the Church: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and Matrimony. Each of them was instituted by Jesus Christ during His public ministry, but they gained their efficacy and effects from His resurrection and the coming of the Holy Spirit.
The broadcast schedule for the IV Magdalene Virtual Pilgrimage will be (in Mexico City time):
- Catechesis at 8:00 a.m.
- Celebration of the Holy Mass at 9:00 a.m.
The pilgrimage program will consist of:
- Two introductory talks on February 28 and March 1
- From March 2 to April 9, catechesis on the sacraments
- From April 10 to 17, Holy Week, including talks and services specific to these holy days
- On the day of the Lord’s Resurrection, the Mass will be held
- Finally, from April 19 to 21, concluding talks will take place.
During the virtual pilgrimage, there will also be explanations about the sacraments in various central locations narrated in the Gospel, such as: the Jordan River for baptism, and Cana for marriage. In both cases, a spiritual renewal of the sacraments can be made.
