The Sunday, May 29, 2022, after a tragic accident involving an all-terrain vehicle that involved several students from the Sacred Heart Vocational Center, Paul Sharpshair, 14 years old and an 8th-grade student at the Sacred Heart School in the United States, died from injuries sustained in the accident. We entrust Paul in our prayers, as well as his family and all the people who have suffered because of him.
Paul, a student from Cincinnati, Ohio, had just completed his first year at Sacred Heart. Paul’s parents, Mark and Kristine, and his 11 siblings, Peter, Augustin, Mary, Sophia, Rose, Josephine, Benedict, Cyril, Philomena, Isabella, and Odilia, thank you for the prayers, spiritual support, and closeness they have received from family and friends, including their pastors from Old St. Mary’s Church, the Legionaries of Christ, and the Consecrated of the Regnum Christi from the Cincinnati area.
We join the Sharpshair family, knowing that the loss of Paul is a painful and difficult moment, and we place our hope in the promise of the Resurrection and in the eternal and powerful love of our Savior Jesus Christ, to whom we ask to welcome Paul into the light of His face and the joy of heaven.

Statement about the tragic accident of a student from the Vocational Center
On Sunday, May 29, 2022, a tragic accident occurred outside the property of the Vocational Center involving an all-terrain vehicle and a group of students from the Sacred Heart Vocational Center. We are very saddened by the loss of one 8th-grade student who died as a result of the accident, while another student remains in the hospital.
The families of the students have been notified and grief therapy services have been made available to all those affected by the accident. The Center has initiated an investigation by third parties to learn more about the details of the incident.
We ask for your prayers for all those involved as we accompany the families, students, and staff through this difficult time.
