From May 16 to 19, the V Dhucem International Congress was held, organized by the Women division, at the Quinta Real hotel in San Agustín, Monterrey, NL.
Dhucem is an apostolate of the adult section of Regnum Christi that features an apostolic formation program aimed at leaders aged 35 to 45 to enhance personal performance in all areas of life.
The apostolate includes divisions for Women, Family, and Business. This particular event is the Annual International Congress of the Women Division and was attended by around 100 women.
The theme of the gathering was: “At the peak of beauty, the path exists,” which is based on a proposal of the value that brings true freedom through an existential analysis of postmodern thought reflected in the culture of disconnection.
A journey was made from the fundamentals of human maturity through current ideologies to reach the heart of women and the biblical sense of prayer, humility, love, marriage, and the Mass, applied in today’s context.
Topics that have become popular in new spiritual and esoteric currents were also covered; in particular, the topic of yoga generated great interest among the participants, as well as mindfulness.
The meaning of replacing real encounters with oneself and with God, which these Eastern practices promote, was explained, along with their evaluation in light of the Gospel.
Dhucem seeks comprehensive growth and development to identify and enhance individuals’ leadership skills, enabling them to turn their abilities into habits that serve society.
The Congress features international speakers and individuals dedicated to the field of holistic beauty, such as: Tere Alarcón (Mexico), P. Adolfo Güémez, LC (Mexico), Lily Téllez (Mexico), Enrique Rojas (Spain), Karen Lorenzo (Guatemala), Alejandro Landero (Mexico), Arael Vieyra (Mexico), Ricardo Castañón (Bolivia), among others.
The next edition of the Dhucem Institute International Congress will be held in Mexico City from February 7 to 9, 2023.
