Approximately 170 apostolics and pre-candidates from the Vocational Centers of Monterrey, León, Mexico City, and Colombia participated.
To facilitate the knowledge exchange among the apostolics and pre-candidates of our different Vocational Centers in Mexico, from October 31 to November 4, a Meeting was held at the Vocational Center in Mexico City, with about 170 participants from the Vocational Centers of Monterrey, León, and the hosting location. Apostolics and pre-candidates from the Vocational Center in Rionegro (Colombia) also joined. The theme of the Meeting was “It Has Never Been So Easy to Win Heaven.”

During the days of the Meeting, students of our Vocational Centers (minor seminaries) had moments of sports and academic competitions, as well as spaces for fellowship, and naturally, the sacraments and prayer. On one of the days, all participants took part in a concelebrated Eucharistic celebration at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
At the end of the Meeting, it was announced that the next one will take place in Monterrey in the context of the 30th anniversary of the founding of that Vocational Center.
The Vocational Centers of the Legion of Christ are minor seminaries that offer students guidance to discern a possible calling to the priesthood within the congregation. The Second Vatican Council spoke about minor seminaries with the following words: “In the Minor Seminaries, established to cultivate the seeds of vocation, students must prepare themselves through a special religious formation, especially through suitable spiritual direction, to follow Christ the Redeemer with generosity of soul and purity of heart. Their way of life, under the paternal guidance of superiors with the appropriate cooperation of parents, should be suitable for their age, spirit, and development, and fully conform to the norms of sound psychology, without neglecting the proper safe experience of human matters and their relationship with their own family. It is advisable that studies be organized so that they can continue them elsewhere without hindrance if they change their way of life” (Vatican II, Decree Optatam Totius no. 3).
