Diploma “Reset”: How to connect with the current reality?

Published on 3 March, 2025
Legionaries, Mexico, News

Three Legionaries of Christ collaborated and led sessions in this new edition of the diploma course, offered by the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum and held in Mexico. There, attendees reflected on the importance of managing differences and building a genuine community, thus enabling relevant evangelization in the contemporary context.

Last January, a new edition of the diploma course “Dialogue in the Postmodern Culture” took place at the Anahuac University of Mexico City. This time, the brothers Cristian Gutiérrez, L.C., Roberto Allison, L.C., and Father Gabriel Wendt, L.C. participated.

The diploma course “RESET. Dialogue in a Postmodern Culture,” offered by the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum, aims to train teachers, educators, and pastoral agents capable of effectively dialoguing in a polarized and constantly changing society. Approaching and understanding culture during a time of change allows participants not only to address delicate issues more fruitfully but also to become proactive agents of the cultural transformation of the 21st century.

As the course website states, “this initiative was organized in response to the challenges posed by the Ordinary Assembly of the Regnum Christi Federation and gathered participants from Mexico and Central America, including entrepreneurs, educators, responsible for apostolates, members of Regnum Christi, and university students.” Experts guided the sessions with key topics such as the characteristics of postmodernity, the concept of truth, cultural transformation, and leadership in times of change.

The diploma course provided participants with tools to analyze the current cultural context and develop responses based on openness and dialogue. Through exploring key concepts such as truth, transcendence, learning, and hope, attendees strengthened their self-awareness and active listening skills. These skills were considered essential to foster communication and propose new ways of evangelization.
