Under the theme “Duc In Altum – Rowing Toward Hope,” the Encounter will take place from July 22 to 26, 2025, at the Francisco de Vitoria University in Madrid. Don’t miss out on this unique experience of faith, reflection, and community!
When many cannot travel to the Holy Land, the Holy Land decides to come to us.
This summer, Magdala comes to Madrid (Spain) with a clear mission: to gather pilgrims of hope, renew faith in uncertain times, and reignite hearts—just like that day on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.
“Duc In Altum” is more than just a theme—it is Jesus’ call to go into the deep, to leave the shore of fear behind and launch into a life-changing experience: a personal encounter with Him.
From July 22 to 26, 2025, at Francisco de Vitoria University (Madrid), you’ll live four intense days filled with prayer, music, formation, and community:
🔹 Inspiration from voices like Fr. Juan Solana, L.C., Carlota Valenzuela, Jennifer Ristine, and Fr. Ignacio Amorós.
🔹 Powerful moments of adoration, daily Eucharist, confessions, and the Rosary.
🔹 Concerts with Rogelio Casasola, Grupo Kénosis, and Grupo Tuyo.
🔹 Formation, joy, and the true spirit of Magdala.
🔹 Includes a welcome kit, meals, and optional lodging.
“The world needs witnesses of hope… and you can be one of them.”
— Fr. Juan Solana, L.C.
For a few days, Madrid will become the Holy Land. Will you miss it?

About Magdala Center: A Spiritual Journey to the Heart of Galilee
The Magdala Center is more than just an archaeological site in Israel—it’s a place of encounter with history, spirituality, and community, located on the shores of the Sea of Galilee in the ancient city of Magdala—the land of Mary Magdalene.
At the heart of the center is Duc In Altum, a spiritual sanctuary designed to invite visitors to “cast their nets into the deep,” inspired by Jesus’ invitation in Luke 5:4. The sanctuary features a boat-shaped chapel, mosaic chapels illustrating scenes from Jesus’ public ministry, and an atrium honoring the women of the Gospel—with special tribute to Mary Magdalene.
Walking among the ruins of a 1st-century synagogue, the iconic Magdala Stone, and ritual baths (mikvaot), visitors are transported back to the time of Jesus, in a journey that connects the past to the present. The center also fosters interreligious and ecumenical dialogue, offering a welcoming space for both believers and seekers to reflect and connect.
Magdala Center also offers:
- Stays at the Magdala Guesthouse, right next to the living history of the site.
- Multimedia programs: virtual pilgrimages, online retreats, podcasts, and live biblical routes from the Holy Land.
- Volunteer opportunities and memberships in the Magdala Family, with roles such as Intercessors, Ambassadors, Benefactors, Volunteers, and Partners.
With over 12,000 Masses celebrated in just ten years and hundreds of thousands of pilgrims welcomed, Magdala has left a deep spiritual mark on all who visit.
At Magdala Center, history, faith, and mission come together to offer a truly transformative experience—bringing the spirit and message of the Holy Land from the heart of Galilee to every corner of the world.
