The Church, through the establishment of minor seminaries, takes special care in discerning and accompanying these budding vocations that have sprouted in the hearts of young boys. The Vocational Center, therefore, aims to “assist in the human and Christian maturation toward the priesthood,” in an environment that is in harmony with their age and fosters true interior freedom (CLC 61).

Novitiate of Brazil

The novitiate, which marks the beginning of life in an institute, aims to help novices gain a better understanding of the divine vocation as it exists within the institute itself, to experience its way of life, to align their minds and hearts with its spirit, and to assess their intention and suitability (Code of Canon Law, 646).

Diocesan Seminary Maria Mater Ecclesiae

There is a growing awareness in the Church of the need for holy and deeply prepared priests who can truly serve the entire People of God in their pursuit of holiness and in their apostolic commitment to proclaiming the Gospel. The Seminary Maria Mater Ecclesiae in Brazil was born from the realization of this project.
